Peru offers excellent conditions to produce coffee of high quality. The exportation of coffee to countries like USA, Germany and Belgium, where coffee consumption is very high, is a proof of its quality.

However, if we speak about the coffee quality that is consumed in Peru, mostly of it is of low quality. The most sold coffee in the stores in Lima, where almost a third of the peruvian population lives, is the soluble instant coffee. One reason for it could be the lack of technology and the lack of norms.
